Analysis of vocational school students' mathematical representation abilities on linear programming material (research in class X TMK SMKS YPPT Garut)

Abstrak
Mathematical Representation Ability (KRM) is a crucial component that vocational school students need to master during integrated mathematics learning. This qualitative descriptive research used class X TMK students at SMKS YPPT Garut as subjects to describe students' KRM for linear programming material. In the data collection method, KRM analysis and interviews were used. Ability analysis refers to three indicators of mathematical representation: pictorial, verbal, and symbolic. The research results explained that 3 students in the high category had a percentage of 20%, 9 students in the medium category had a percentage of 60%, and 6 students in the low category had a percentage of 20%. Class X TMK students at this school have KRM which is in linear programming material. Students with the highest scores are in the high category, but their KRM is not optimal because there are steps in the verbal representation that have not been thoroughly interpreted in the answers.
