Appy Pie integrated mobile learning: Design and feasibility to help the 3D geometry learning process in the time of Covid 19 pandemic

Abstract

Many studies reveal that the use of ICT provides a new color in the interaction of the learning process. However, there are still many obstacles faced when integrating technology in the learning process, especially mathematics learning. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to highlight the feasibility of Appy Pie-assisted mobile learning in mathematics learning during the Covid 19 pandemic. To achieve this goal, this study uses the ADDIE development design which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. In this study, the evaluation phase was not carried out due to limited time for implementation. The analysis phase carried out is analysis of problems and needs, analysis of the scope of the material, analysis of the integration process and collection of supporting materials. Furthermore, for the design stage, carry out the process of compiling instructional designs, compiling workflows and storylines, and preparing product element assets. The development stage is to produce an Appy Pie-assisted application for geometric materials. The implementation stage carries out an internal testing process, assessments of media experts and material experts, field tests. Based on the findings, it is found that the Appy Pie integrated mobile learning application is suitable for learning geometry in class VIII SMP. Therefore, the Appy Pie integrated mobile learning application has the potential to improve the geometry understanding of school students. Integrated mobile learning applications have the potential to improve school students' understanding of geometry.
