Analisis kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) pada tingkatan C6
Abstrak
The educational aspect of the 21st century requires student teacher candidates to be able to develop their abilities in solving problems that require higher order thinking processes. The existence of these demands has not been going well so it is important for prospective educators to improve skills in higher order thinking processes as an effort that can be done. High Order Thinking Skills is an important aspect to be developed in learning, where students must solve non-routine problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of mathematics education students to solve problems that require higher-order thinking processes at the C-6 level. The subjects in this study were 16 students of Mathematics Education at Sanata Dharma University batch 2017. The instrument used by the researcher was a written test. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. Based on this, the results showed that the student's ability to solve HOTS questions at level C6 was still lacking. So that we need a learning and increase the competence of prospective mathematics teachers to solve problems.
