Validation of Solve It module to improve math story ability
Validasi modul Solve It untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika
Abstrak
The ability of math story problems in elementary school students was an important role for learning mathematics when the secondary school. In the other side, solving using appropriate strategy on math story problems of mathematics were one of learning outcome achieved. The purposes of the research were to validate the module of Solve It and to find out the effectiveness Solve It strategies to improve the mathematics story problem ability. The research participants were elementary school teachers as validators and elementary school students in Yogyakarta as participants in experimental research. The results showed that module of Solve It has high score of content validity. In the other side, Solve It strategy can improve the performance of to solve mathematics story problem for students. These findings contribute to the development of cognitive theory regarding the important role of metacognitive to control thinking processes for students with math difficulties.
